Hem​

Hem width

The size of the hem as a percentage of the seam allowance.

Fit​

Seat Ease​

Ease added to seat measurement

  • Type: Percentage
  • Default: 6.25%
  • Minimum: 0%
  • Maximum: 20%

Ease added to the seat measurement for comfort. Static 15mm in W. Aldrich.

Back Waist Ease​

Ease added to back waistline.

  • Type: Percentage
  • Default: 17%
  • Minimum: 0%
  • Maximum: 30%

Ease added to the waist at the back for comfort. Percentage of the difference between the waistline and seat measurements. Static 40mm in w. Aldrich.

Front Waist Ease​

Ease added to front waistline

  • Minimum: 0%
  • Maximum: 20%

Ease added to the waist at the front for comfort. Used for front darts. Percentage of the difference between the waistline and seat measurements. Static 25mm in w. Aldrich.

Disable to add seam at center back.

Length​

Skirt length

This controls the length of the skirt. Percentage of the waist to floor measurement.

Waist Drop​

Waistline drop from waist toward hips

Percentage drop from waist to hips; 0% waistline at waist, 100% waistline at hips. Used to calculate the garment waistline, waistline to seat, and related dependent options. (e.g., dart lengths)

Back Inside Dart Length​

Length of inside darts on back

  • Type: Percentage
  • Default: 68%
  • Minimum: 50%
  • Maximum: 75%

Length of the inside pair of darts on the back of the skirt. Percentage of waistline to seat. Static 140mm in W. Aldrich.

Back Outside Dart Length​

Length of the outside darts on the back

  • Minimum: 50%
  • Maximum: 75%

Length of the outside pair of darts on the back of the skirt. Percentage of waistline to seat. Static 130mm in W. Aldrich.

Extra Seat Ease​

Ease added to seat measurement to account for fabric stretch and closure style.

  • Maximum: 20%

Ease added to seat to account for fabric stiffness and closure type. Negative for stretchy fabrics, positive for stiff fabrics with elastic in waist.

Extra Waist Ease​

  • Maximum: 20%

Ease added to waist to account for fabric stiffness and closure type. Does not affect darts. Negative for stretchy fabrics, positive for stiff fabrics with elastic in waist. Percentage of calculated waistline.

Front Dart Length​

Length of darts on front

Length of the pair of darts on the front of the skirt. Percentage of waistline to seat. Static 120mm in W. Aldrich.

Side Seam Curve Offset​

Offset from line between side seat and front/back side top to shape hip/seat curve

  • Minimum: 0%
  • Maximum: 5%

Offset from the line between the waist and seat used to generate a curve. Percentage of the difference between the waistline and seat measurements. Static 5mm in W. Aldrich.

Waist Rise​

Rise of waistline between front/back center and sides

  • Default: 6%
  • Minimum: 0%
  • Maximum: 10%

Additional height at side seams. Percentage of the difference between the waistline and seat measurements. Static 12.5mm in w. Aldrich.
